Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB), one of the subsidiaries of PETRONAS, has engaged IFP Engineering to perform a Basic Engineering Design project, with emphasis on High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO) elimination from a Delayed Coker Unit (DCU).
This project was done by sending Flash Zone Gas Oil (FZGO) product from the tanks located at the Oil Movement & Storage (OMS) area to Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU-2) for reprocessing, in order to produce other valuable products such as diesel and naphtha.
FZGO transfer from OMS area to VDU-2 shall utilize the existing Low Sulphur Waxy Residue (LSWR) line that was previously installed during DELIMA project.
