Ipoh 4th: Perak State Executive Councillor, YB Dato Seri Ir Haji Mohammad Nizar pointed out that in order to cooperate with the country’s vision of promoting the development of clean energy and green technology industries, whether it is the manufacture of green technology products or the development of renewable energy power plants the and state governments do welcome the expertise and investment in related fields.
Between 2013 and 2017, 23 renewable energy projects approved by the Malaysian Investment Development Agency (MIDA) were implemented in the state with an investment of approximately RM 209 million. These investments also generated 5,944 jobs.
After attending the Green Initiative Seminar opening ceremony, YB Dato Seri Ir Haji Mohammad Nizar who is in charge of the Investment Development Committee, told the media that there is a company located in Sungai Siput installed solar panels in their production, which help indoor cooling and generate electricity which is one kind of green technology.
He said that the state government will continue to support institutions such as Malaysia Investment Development Agency, Malaysia Green Technology Corporation (MGTC) and etc. to work together to promote state investment and keep economy growing.
Guest present at the seminar today include Hiroshi Kojima (Senior General Manager of Chiyoda Chemical Construction), Dr. Ragunath Bharath (Director of Innovative Fluid Process Sdn Bhd), Mr. Shahzul Jayawirawan Mohd Yunus (Deputy Director, Green Technology Division, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)), Mr. Tuan Syed Ahmad Syed Mustafa (Chief Operating Officer, Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (MGTC)), Andrew Lee Chan Wah (Project Manager of Nipco Electrical Engineering Trading Sdn Bhd) and Muhammad Sawaddee Islamuddin (Chairman of Perak Branch).
